As the corners of my mind grow tortured
I forget the smell of wild orchids
Cannot recall birds morning song
My willful self hate carries on
No longer feel warm summer rain
A loathsome beast all that remains
Joyful laughter lost to me
A darkening veil all I can see
When first I wake a brief reprise
Then the world dissolves before my eyes
Now send my flesh to fiery hell
Where there is no sight and is no smell
Just burning self-inflicted pain
My hopeless soul must here remain.
